
When I passed through the veil at the conclusion of my endowment, my parents were waiting for me. The ordeal was baffling bearing no relation to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as I had previously known it. But, the presence of mum and dad looking so pleased was reassuring, it became my abiding memory of the day, that in the future they might receive me on the other side.
There are many shelf items in respect of LDS temple participation, one passage in the New Testament that resounds loudly with me as a post Mormon is Matt 10:27 “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” The LDS temple rites do not appear in keeping with the wisdom of Jesus.
