
An important element of believing in anyone or anything is to take things on trust. Trust is a tenet of Christianity, “Without faith it is impossible to please God”. Heb 11:16 Faith “is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen”. Heb 11:1
Faith in religion frequently requires us to suspend disbelief. Metaphorically, we place such items on a shelf, hoping that in some future moment, new evidence will endorse the unlikely proposition of something not seen.
